The days of you babbling baby talk is over. It's big girl talk now.
The other day, Daddy asked you for a kiss. Your response was "No kiss. I don't love you." Oh my gosh did Mommy and Daddy looked at each other. By the way, you say "oh my gosh" all the time.
Last Saturday while we were in Laughlin, out of nowhere we heard you repeating "what the heck!" Oh my. Mind you you're only 2 years and 1 week old.
Oh, and you get adamant about wearing dresses and skirts. You tell me by saying pretty and tugging on your clothes.
Yesterday, you were eating tomatoes and I thought to myself, "who's kid are you?" Just kidding. I love it that you love tomatoes. Just don't expect me to eat your leftovers.
Mommy and Daddy are trying to discipline you a bit more now that you know so much. The corner's been your friend. You know how to be afraid of Daddy but not so much with Mommy. It's ok. I love you to pieces and we'll teach you through discipline and love.
You're talking so much but I love it best when you tell me you love me and shower me and your dad with kisses. I love my 2 year old toddler. I love you always.

Happy 2nd Birthday Lauren
Lauren,
Yesterday was your second birthday. Happy birthday baby! You will always be my baby. Always.
We chose not to have a birthday party this year and make it all about you. We celebrated your birthday in Hawaii. We all had a womderful time and loved every minute of it. You were with your 3 favorite people and loved the beach and pool and playing and relaxing. Mommy and Daddy sang happy birthday yesterday to you right when you woke up. I bought you 2 white balloons and we took some pictures of you at home first before taking you to Brea Canyon for some outdoor shots. You enjoyed running around with the balloons and those were the best shots we got of you. It was tough but we did it and I love them all.
We ended the night with dinner at BJs and had spicy spaghetti and a flatbread pizza. You love spicy food and you love noodles so it was perfect. They brought out a pizookie for your birthday and Mommy sang to you while Daddy recorded it. You did a wonderful job of blowing out the candle. We ended dinner with the tasty dessert and went home to snuggle in bed. I remembered to measure you against the walk in the kitchen. We'll see how you measure next year.
